Medical Assistance (MA)
A program to provide payments for health and dental care of individuals or families who qualify according to Minnesota statute. Care in skilled nursing facilities or intermediate care facilities is also covered. For more information, visit the Medical Assistance MA Minnesota's Medicaid Program for health care website.
Minnesota Care
Some family members whose income is more than the income limit for MA and do not have access for health insurance through an employer may qualify for Minnesota Care. For more information, MinnesotaCare site of the Minnesota Department of Human Services website.
Minnesotans can apply for health care coverage through MNsure.
