Safe at Home

Safe at Home helps survivors of stalking, sexual assault, domestic violence, and others who fear for their safety go about their daily lives without the risk of their abusers discovering their actual address.

How can Safe at Home Help?

  • Assists you to keep your home and work address confidential
  • Assigns you a post office box address where you can have your mail sent. This substitute address becomes your residential address. Others are required by law to accept and use this address
  • Forwards your mail to you without charge
  • Receives legal documents for you on your behalf
  • Assists you in confidential voting
  • Allows you to use the Safe at Home address on your Driver's License

Who is Eligible?

To apply, you must:

  • be a survivor of stalking, sexual assault, or domestic violence, or someone who fears for their safety;
  • reside in Minnesota; and
  • be at least 18 years old, or the parent/legal guardian acting on behalf of a minor or incapacitated person.

Safe Avenues

"Our Mission is to provide advocacy, parenting time services, and emergency shelter for victims of domestic and sexual violence."

Advocates serve men, women, and children in immediate crisis and in the aftermath.

The Safe Avenues' Shelter and Safe Hotel Programs provide emergency residential shelter services to those who are in immediate danger of violence - Secure and Confidential.
