County Commissioners
The County Board of Commissioners consists of five elected persons from the five districts in the county and is the policy making body of county government. Commissioner meetings are held at least twice a month, on the second and fourth Tuesday of the month, in the Commissioners Room in the Government Center. The board members also serve on many related committees and multi-county boards in the surrounding area. They keep well informed on state legislative proceedings, especially any bills which could affect the county. Commissioners are elected for four year terms.
