High Intensity Discharge (HID):  $1.75

Product Reuse Center

The Product Reuse Center is located at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility and is open by appointment only.  Good, useable products, such as paint, stains, cleaners, etc.,  that are brought into the facility are put on shelves and are available free of charge for anyone.  Product availability changes depending upon what is brought into the facility.

What is Household Hazardous Waste (HHW)?

Household hazardous waste are products that can be an environmental or health hazard when stored or disposed of improperly.  A product or substance is hazardous when it contains one or more of the following properties:

  • Corrosive/Caustic (Example: drain cleaner)
  • Reactive (Example: ether)
  • Flammable (Example: gasoline)
  • Toxic/Poisonous (Example: pesticides)

Reading the label on products can help identify some potentiallly harmful substances.  Check for words such as "Caution", "Warning", or "Danger".  These may indicate a product is household hazardous waste.
