Yellow Medicine County operates two county parks.

Oraas Park, located along US Hwy 59 seven miles south of Clarkfield or nine miles west of Hanley Falls, offers a relaxed setting for neighborhood gatherings, family camping, and convenient wayside rest for travelers.  The park has a shelter for picnics and a children’s playground.  Camping is available with 6 sites with electrical and water hookups and is $27/night for campers.  Water is supplied by Lincoln Pipestone Rural Water at a central hydrant.  All camping must be paid for in advance before campers will be allowed to park in a spot, and before a reservation will be accepted. 2024 camping season a dump station will be operational at Oraas Park.

Timm Park, is located just off of County Road 18, three miles north of the City of Wood Lake or seven miles south of Granite Falls.  This popular park is located off the north shore of Wood Lake.  It offers a recently developed campground with water and 110 volt electrical service to each site, a picnic shelter, swimming area, playground, volleyball, basketball, boat ramp and dock.  Fishing includes crappies, bullheads, and walleyes.  Camping fees are $27/night for campers and $15/night for tents.  Fees are required for each night the camper or tent is left in place at the park.  All camping must be paid for in advance before campers will be allowed to park in a spot, and before a reservation will be accepted.

The picnic shelters at both parks can be reserved for group gatherings at a rate of $25 per event, plus damage deposit if applicable, through the form at the bottom of this webpage.  Please check the Shelter Reservation link bellow for more information on obtaining permits for larger functions and availability.

All park regulations can be found below through the County Park Ordinances link.
